[post_page_title]Downgraded if William passes away[/post_page_title]
Thanks to the Royal blood rule, if for some reason King William, as he will be, passes away then Kate’s role will be downgraded. She will no longer be Queen Consort, and it will be one of her children who assumes the throne. That will be Prince George as long as he is alive, followed by his sister and brother.
If for some reason they are not around, or choose to abdicate the throne, then it could pass down to Prince Harry and he would become King. If William passes away, Kate will find herself in the same position as Queen Elizabeth II’s mother, who had to leave the throne to allow her child to sit there.
