[post_page_title]She will have to give up Diana’s Princess of Wales title[/post_page_title]
When Kate becomes Queen Consort – assuming Charles will be King before William does – she won’t be going from the Duchess of Cambridge to Queen Consort. Instead, when Queen Elizabeth passes away and Prince Charles replaces her as King, William will become the Prince of Wales.
Kate, for her part, will become the Princess of Wales. If that title sounds familiar, it should – the last Princess of Wales was none other than Princess Diana, Kate’s mother-in-law. Taking her former title will likely solidify the two women’s association with one another forever.
