As Queen Consort, Kate will have the privilege of issuing royal warrants. These have nothing to do with bringing suspects to justice, and everything to do with giving contracts to favored companies the Crown wishes to work with.
Currently only the Queen herself, Prince Philip, and Prince Charles may issue these warrants, which have a five-year term. When Kate is Queen Consort she’ll be able to bestow them as well, and her choices will greatly affect the selected companies’ fortunes as a royal endorsement is worth big bucks.
