Charles reportedly wants to avoid living in Buckingham Palace because he’s not a fan of the place. Apparently, he doesn’t consider it sustainable, both financially and environmentally. The upkeep of the palace costs far too much for what it is, which is why he apparently wants to open it up to the public.
At the moment, only a portion of the estate can be explored during a few months of the year. However, Charles reportedly wants to make more of it available to visitors for longer periods of time.
