Kate already earns quite a lot of money through her role in the Royal Family, but that’s going to increase as her rank rises. If she didn’t earn any extra, it would be like gaining a promotion and then not seeing an increase in wages.
William and Kate’s earnings will increase because they will be receiving the money from all of Queen Elizabeth’s estates and investments. It’s thought that Kate earns around $3 million yearly, compared to the Queen’s $97 million, so she’s in for a significant pay rise.
