So Kate will eventually be Queen in the future, but it’s important to remember she won’t actually be the one who sits on the throne. There can only be one person with the burden of sitting on the throne, and that will be William.
Kate will likely be known as Queen Consort, but there is no guarantee that she will take even that title. In fact, William may no longer be known by his own actual name, as he can choose a different ruling name when he ascends to the throne.
