The Prince’s plan for Buckingham Palace isn’t the only thing that’s thrown a spanner in the works. In early 2020, Meghan and Harry announced their desire to step back from the Royal Family.
They’ve now essentially been fired from their old duties and stripped of their HRH titles so that they can become financially independent. Obviously, this has a significant impact on how the other royals will work once Kate becomes Queen consort. However, it won’t stop the Duchess from ascending to the throne alongside her husband.
