In Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania, an early tribe of humans has just begun to develop tools. They were used for hunting and scavenging, which, in turn, altered the human diet to this day. The tools were a result of increased capacity as this discovery and others hinted towards social activity and the establishment of an early human community. The different finds in the gorge were used to deduce the increased cognitive functions that affect the patterns of behavior in early humans.
