The mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, the first Qin Emperor, is an enormous tomb located in Xian, China. 250 feet tall and over 20 square miles, the mausoleum is a copy of the emperor’s capital, and houses the well-known terracotta army. Estimates say there are over 8,000 soldiers, hundreds of horses, and a multitude of other figures. Because of the sheer size of the underground city and sanctions from the Chinese government, it is yet to be completely excavated including the chamber of the emperor itself.
