It looks like there is more than one art fan in the room. You will probably only see it from a fair distance away, over many heads, unless you’ve sharpened your elbows and are prepared to battle through the crowd. With such a high level of interest in the painting, the museum in Paris has had to install some security measures for its most prized possession. A glass screen has been placed in front of the artwork to protect it from camera flashes, and any would-be vandals. A rope in front of the exhibit doesn’t allow you to get too close either, so don’t go expecting to see any brushstrokes.
