During the summer solstice, it is ram jammed full of people, meaning you can get nowhere near the huge stones unless you arrived well in advance. Luckily if you want to visit the monument at any other time of the year, it will be perfectly quiet, and you won’t have to use your elbows to forge a path through the bodies. Be careful how long you stay at the site though, legend tells it that Stonehenge is an ancient gateway to another world, so it might just open up and take you away.
