When this theory hit the web, J.K. Rowling wasn’t a fan, but hey – no one cared anyway. There was an idea brought up that Dumbledore in fact created his own horcrux – and the horcrux is none other than Fawkes, his pet phoenix. It is quite interesting when you think about it – the two are practically inseparable. Whenever Harry needs Dumbledore, Fawkes shows up, and when Dumbledore is emotional, Fawkes has been known to shed a tear. Perhaps it’s because a piece of Dumbledore’s soul lives inside her?
