[post_page_title]Character symbolism[/post_page_title]
Rowling certainly loves her thematic metaphors, and that is why she loves this theory – the one that Voldemort, Harry, and Snape represent the three Deathly Hallows. Voldemort symbolizes the elder wand, Snape the resurrection stone, and Harry the invisibility cloak. To cap off this brilliant theory, people have said that Dumbledore represents death, a theme which, of course, ties all of the hallows together. And then of course, there’s the fact that Harry meets Dumbledore when he is in limbo between life and death.
