After the statement was released, Carrie decided to release her own statement to update all of her fans on her recovery. She noted that she had had surgery on her wrist – and hinted that she had received a metal addition to her wrist, as she will she “setting off airport metal detectors from now on.” She also took the opportunity to thank all of her friends, family, fans, nurses, and doctors who had looked after during her injury. Unfortunately, people were still reeling from Wendy Williams comments and believed she really had had a facelift.
