It’s hard to deny horror/thriller Us is a truly unique movie, with a plot twist few saw coming. But that doesn’t mean people loved it. The plot is so complex, surreal and confusing, many got lost and couldn’t figure out what director Jordan Peele was trying to say.
It was almost as if he tried to put too many ideas and themes in one movie, rather than focus on one or two. As a result many were left impressed by the visuals and creeped out by the characters – but completely clueless as to what it all meant.
