The unique thing about Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is that it’s a highly rated movie, filled with A-list actors who all shine in their performances (according to everyone who’s seen it) – and still so many couldn’t stand this film.
For once the problem isn’t the acting or a bad storyline, instead many feel like the blame is on the writer-director Martin McDonough. He claimed he tried to make a darkly comic drama, but most felt the result is better described as an unfunny comedy or a dark drama with some very misplaced attempts at humor.
