When it comes to directing comedies, it’s almost impossible to appeal to everyone. People simply find different things funny, and it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the quality of the movie.
But in a movie like Bridesmaids, where so many of Hollywood’s funniest comedic actors got a part, you’d expect the result to be mind blowing. Instead, many found the movie grotesque and immature in its type of humor – and the characters extremely unlikable.
