Bud Roberts Jr. was the son of “Big Bud Sr.” who used to be a Master Chief in the Navy, as well as the brother of Mikey who became a radar and gunnery technician. Bud Jr. lost his right leg when he stepped on a landmine and had to go through rehabilitation. However, this certainly didn’t hold him back in the Navy as he ends up being promoted three times throughout the seasons! We see Bud Roberts Jr. go from an ensign in charge of Public Affairs, through to a JAG lawyer and a Lieutenant Commander in the 208 episodes he stars in.
