We first meet Meredith Cavanaugh quite late on in JAG, in Season 7, and she becomes the love interest of Admiral A. J. Chegwidden after he mistakes her for yet another blind date setup by his colleagues. However, the real reason the Professor is there is to meet with Col. Mackenzie to talk about a course she wanted her surrogate sister, Chloe, to take. The pair bond over their love of Shakespeare and get engaged, but it all comes to a sad end when Meredith Cavanaugh cheats on the Admiral.
