She later also appeared in films such as the suspense film Gone Girl, the fantastic adaptation Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and the 2011 version of Footloose. Before landing the leading role in FTWD, The actress had several recurring parts in shows including period drama Deadwood, mystery drama Lost, Friday Night Lights, and Netflix’s political drama House of Cards.
