Ilene Stowe is one of the survivors of the outbreak. While attending the wedding of her daughter Jessica to a man named Oscar, her husband has a heart attack and attacks Jessica, starting a panic in the ballroom of the Rosarito Beach Hotel. The guests are locked inside the ballroom and it becomes a massacre, but Ilene survives. However, stricken with grief over losing her family and having lost all hope for the future, Ilene ends her own life by jumping off a balcony.
