Many fans of the Ant-man franchise will sure recall Janet Van Dyne as the original Wasp in the comic series. In the Marvel universe, she married Hank Pym, who later became Ant-Man and the two also adopted Hope.
Van Dyne appeared as a superhero alongside her husband and took part in many operation of S.H.I.E.L.D over the years. During one of their operations, Janet sacrifices herself in order to save world and becomes lost in the Quantum Realm. In 2017, it was announced that her character would return in the next installment of the Ant-Man movie franchise.
