Dunst rocked the red hair for her role as Mary Jane Watson in three Tobey Maguire-led Spider-Man movies.
Her performance as the sweet and sensitive love interest was lauded by critics with Entertainment Weekly writing that Dunst has the talent to “lend even the smallest line a tickle of flirtatious music.” She told reporters after the third film that she would do a fourth movie if Maguire and director Sam Raimi were interested. Eventually plans for a fourth film fell through.
