Scottish-born actress Karen Gillan is an accomplished actress, singer, and director. She got her big kickstart on the British cult series Doctor Who, in which she played the beloved companion Amy Pond.
She later starred in the horror film Oculus, and most recently the action comedy Jumanji. Younger fans may remember her for her starring role in the short-lived but critically acclaimed comedy series Selfie. To play the role of Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy films she actually shaved her hair off. In 2018, Gillan made her directorial debut with the comedy The Party’s Just Beginning.
