It’s official, we can’t get enough of mixed breeds nowadays. While these dogs used to be frowned upon, it’s now become the fashion to get a mixed breed.
From jugs to cockapoos, everybody loves a wonderful mix of breeds.
2. German Shepherds
They’re loyal, protective, beautiful and loving. These dogs are the perfect family pet, but they’re also used a lot as working pooches too. You’ll often find security guards or the police force with a German Shepherd by their side.
Don’t be scared of them though, they’re big softies really.
3. Huskies
Another large dog that some people can feel wary about, but there’s really nothing to be scared of. Huskies can be the perfect family pet as long as you train them young.
Plus you can get them to say “I love you” if you work hard enough (we’ve seen it on YouTube)!

From big to small, we absolutely adore the Maltese breed.
They’ve risen in popularity with those who want a toy breed – and this is one of the oldest there is! They used to be nicknamed “The Comforter” in Elizabethan times, as it was believed they cured illness and pain. Aww!
5. Golden Retriever
Who doesn’t want the companionship of one of the most loyal dogs on the planet? They’re beautiful both in looks and in personality.
A golden retriever will stick by you and your family, even getting on well with crazy kids. They’re just perfect, through and through.
6. Labrador Retriever
It’s the Andrex puppy! A labrador is very similar to a golden retriever in some respects. They make the perfect family dogs, which could be the reason they’re the most popular dog in several countries around the world.
They’re people pleasers and we love them for it.
7. Beagles
They’re one of the smartest dogs on the planet, which is why they’re used as sniffer dogs at airports. Not only are they smart, but they’re loving, caring and full of cool tricks.
There’s nothing you can’t teach a Beagle – although some do tend to have a problem with making lots of noise.
8. Newfoundland
It’s another giant dog! The Newfoundland makes our heart melt with joy, just look at it. Okay, so they may be more bear than dog but they are known as “Nature’s Babysitter”.
Why? Because they’re the best at looking after your kids. Such softies!
9. Poodles
Love them or hate them, Poodles are one of the most loved dog breeds in the world. While they may just be shown as showy dogs they’re actually extremely intelligent and loyal.
Plus you can get their fur cut in a whole manner of hilarious ways. What’s not to love?!
10. Portuguese Water Dogs
This is quite an obscure breed that a lot of people have probably never heard of, but there’s a reason they made it onto our list.
They’re fluffy but won’t set off allergies, they’re smart, and they’re easy to train. Oh, and they look absolutely adorable.
11. Pembroke Welsh Corgi
We couldn’t finish this list without the Queen’s dogs! They have one of the most adorable personalities of all the dogs on this list, and were apparently how fairies in Wales used to get around.
How cute! We just love Corgis, even if they are expensive.
