The most rewatchable movies of all time

There is so much fresh content out on Netflix and other streaming services that it is enough to make our heads spin. New content is always something to look forward to, but there are also times when all we want to do is kick back with a flick we have already seen before – the ones we know every line of and can watch a thousand times without ever getting bored. If you are spending the night in and looking for a classic to rewind and unwind to, here are some of the best rewatchable movies to add to the list.

Back to the Future

Robert Zemeckis’ 1895 classic Back To The Future is the type of movie that resonates with almost every type of person. While it may be purely science fiction, it is the backdrop to a more relatable story about self-respect, family, and perseverance. From the plot to the soundtrack and performance, everything about this movie is joyous and entertaining, making it the type of movie you could watch a hundred times over.

Mean Girls

What would a boring Friday night in be without the girls that brought the ‘burn book’ to life? Sure this flick was not lining up for Oscar nominations, but it is still a classic that is a close second to the cult favorite, Clueless. There are a lot of teen-coming-of-age flicks out there, but very few have managed to strike the right balance between utter silliness and uncanny accuracy like Mean Girls did. Whether you have seen it once or a thousand times over, it never gets old.

Fight Club

There is no doubt that Brad Pitt and Edward Norton deliver a phenomenal performance in Fight Club, which is one of the reasons it is so enjoyable to watch over and over again. However, the plot itself is like a rabbit hole of subliminal messages, just waiting to be picked apart. Every time you watch this movie, you find subtle hints you may have not picked up on before, which actually give you a true idea of what is really going on.

Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction is arguably one of Quentin Tarantino’s best masterpieces. It is the Mona Lisa of his collection that can be analyzed, critiqued, and picked apart scene by scene every time you rewatch it. There are Femme Fatales, suited hit men, mobsters, sluggers, and a boxer – what’s not to love about this genre-bending flick? With over two and a half hours of dark twists, intertwining stories, absurd scenarios, and heavy references to pop culture, it’s safe to say that this film is rewind-worthy.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

What would this list be without a rom-com! Luckily this rom-com does not lay the cheese on too thick, making it more enjoyable to watch a few more times over. Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson make for a very exciting pair and while the plot is typical ‘girl meets boy’, it does offer a hint of cheeky rivalry that is delightfully hilarious. It is the perfect movie to watch over again on a lazy night at home.
