Walmart’s acceptance rate

Did you know that the acceptance rate at Walmart is actually lower than at Harvard? Harvard admits 8.9% of its applicants, but Walmart is pretty mean at just 2.6% of applicants accepted. Looks like there’s a new elitist establishment in town, and the next town, and the next.

You can’t smell while sleeping

Hearing loud noises and being touched can wake you from your sleep, but smelling something doesn’t trigger the same response. People can’t rely on their sense of smell to help them wake up according to a study at Brown University.

Chewbacca had backup

You might be aware of Chewbacca, the hairy Wookie from the Star Wars sci-fi franchise. While filming for Return of the Jedi, the man in the suit, Peter Mayhew, was accompanied by bodyguards when filming in the forest as it was feared local hunters might mistake him for Bigfoot and try to shoot him.

A football fan requested that he have six Cleveland Browns pallbearers at his funeral. Strange enough you might think but the reason why? So the Browns could let him down just one last time!

Hummingbirds can’t walk

Hummingbirds are the only species of bird that is able to hover, fly backward and even fly upside down. There is something else unique to put them apart from their species, they can’t walk. Their legs are too short, the best they can do is to shuffle, so they tend to stick to flying where possible.

What’s the Cookie Monster’s name?

The Cookie Monster is one of the most beloved members of children’s TV show Sesame Street, but he didn’t always go by that name. Before being consumed by his addiction to eating cookies, he went by the name of Sid.
